This is a pointless waste of an HTML, but I have to be true to my roots. This was the first movie I ever made, behind the camera, anyway. I had done some bit parts in some of my friends productions and helped out as crew on other school projects, but this one was mine. I had such high hopes for it, but it just never quite worked out. The first day of shooting went great as we shot on a desolate beach down in Malibu, but as the day ended the problems began to arise. Our lead, Michael Ward had been in the sun all day the first day and had very fair skin, so he went from white to lobster real fast. That posed a problem obviously due to continuity. From there we went to the open canyons where we shot some great shots for that part of the montage, between rubbing Mike down with Aloe Vera. He had to wear shoes because the top of his feet were so burnt and the script had called for him to be barefooted and he had in fact been for the beach part, obviously. Then we went to inside shots where the genius I am, switched out the wrong tapes and ended up recording over five minutes of our great footage from the canyons. We sent Second Unit and Mike back to Canyon, but never quite got what we needed out of it. So we shot the interiors without a hitch besides Mike being blistered from the sun. When we started splicing we realized we needed a dozen more shots, so we had to go back to the canyon. The problem was that four months had passed and it had become the middle of the summer. Laurel Canyon was not the place to be trudging through the bush in the middle of the summer. They place was crawling with Rattlesnakes and I mean big ones. Mike would run up a trail and suddenly turn around. We decided to go with what we had. As we were leaving, I was packing the car up and couldn't help but notice a huge rattler basking in the sun right under the drivers door, Had I not had to put the camera equipment up, I would have gone right to the door and been bitten into. Seems like a lot of bullshit for an already ruined film. After cutting it we realized that it may be saved with a voice over, but I was already working on my next project and never got back around to it... (Nor do I think I cared.)

This was the finished product in all its lack-luster.
